Joan Maureen Kane

Joan Maureen Kane, age 86, of Braselton passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2018. She loved animals and reading at day cares. Mrs. Kane served in the Marine Corps reserve. She taught 1st grade for 33 years and loved children. She was a beloved aunt. Joan was a part of Kappa Kappa Iota for teaching sorority. She was a member of Hoschton United Methodist Church and a life time member of Women's American Auxiliary. Survivors include her son Michael Kane of Newnan; daughter Kathie Kane of Braselton; 2 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Memorial services will be held 3:00 pm Friday, March 16, 2018 at Hoschton United Methodist Church. Rev. Marvin Mason will be officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Murphy-Harpst 740 Fletcher St., Cedartown, GA 30125; they assist abused, neglected and abandoned children.
