Harold Eugene Whitlow

Mr. Harold Eugene Whitlow, age 86 of Dahlonega, passed away on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at Chestatee Regional Hospital following an extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, March 25, 2018 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.  Reverend Doug Forrester and Reverend Mark Gunter will officiate.  The family will receive friends on Friday, March 23, 2018 and Saturday, March 24, 2018 from 6 – 8 pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Whitlow was born October 15, 1931 in Cumming, Georgia to the late Alton Whitlow and Hattie Mae Brogdon Whitlow.  He was retired from General Motors and was a member of Community Baptist Church.  Harold was preceded in death by his parents, his daughters, Marie Humphries and Teresa Jones, his son, Derrick Whitlow and sister, Lola Whitlow.

Mr. Whitlow is survived by his wife, Roma Louise Whitlow of Dahlonega, his daughters, Dianne Jackson of Dahlonega and Sandra Whitlow of Gainesville, son, Ronald Whitlow of Dahlonega, 15 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 1 on the way, 1 great-great-grandchild, son-in-law, Cliff Jones, brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law, Winford “Jack” & Jean Robinson of Dahlonega and Robert & Janie Robinson of Gainesville, sister-in-law, Peggy Dean of Gainesville and nieces, Joyce Barnes of Chicopee and Rena Martin of Braselton.
