Phillip (Philly) Scott Higgins

Phillip “Philly” Scott Higgins, age 53, of Sautee, Georgia went to be with The Lord on Thursday, March 22, 2018.

Mr. Higgins was born on February 11, 1965 in Cornelia, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank “Buddy” Higgins; and sister, Charlotte Higgins. Mr. Higgins was a member of Concord Baptist Church. He was employed with Jim Hardman Buick-GMC as an Automotive Technician.

Survivors include his wife, Laurie Higgins, of Sautee; mother, Faye Higgins, of Cornelia; daughter and son-in-law, Deanne and Jonathan Green, of Jackson, SC; daughter, Ashley “Sissy” Howe, of Sautee; sons, Cody Stephenson, of Clarkesville; Caleb “Bubba” Stephenson, of Sautee; sisters, Marilyn Foster, of Cornelia; Ginger Gunn, of Baldwin; Phyllis Rasnick, of Pendergrass; Pam Shelnut, of Cleveland; brother, Wayne Higgins, of Cornelia; grandchildren, Brianna Green, Landyn Green, John Stephenson; numerous nieces and nephews, and one great niece.  

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 26, 2018 at Concord Baptist Church, Clermont, Georgia with Dr. Levi Skipper officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel.
