Jor Ryder

Joe Ryder, age 85, of Buford, GA passed away on Saturday, March 24, 2018.

He was preceded in death by his wife of thirty-six years, Barbara Banks Ryder; son, Michael Ryder; daughter, Judy Ryder Stewart; infant daughter, Pamela Jo Ryder; and daughter, Anita Kerr. He is survived by his step son, Fred Banks and wife, Carol, Dacula, GA; daughter, Colleen Johnson, Flowery Branch, GA; grandchildren, Felicia Stewart Sewell, Buford, GA and Michael Stewart, Lawrenceville, GA, Wesley Johnson, Braselton, GA, Clarissa Ryder, Brandon Johnson, Newnan, GA; several great grandchildren; one niece; and one nephew.

Mr. Ryder was born September 11, 1932 in Chattanooga, TN. He attended Buford High School in Buford, GA. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army having served in the Korean War and was a member of the Buford American Legion Post 127. He retired from Lockheed Martin after several years of service and then later retired from the J. M. Tull Company in Norcross, GA after twenty years of service. He was of the Baptist Faith.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 26, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Allen Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens in Buford, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on
