Ronald Lamon Carson, Sr., age 51, of Buford, GA passed away on Friday, March 23, 2018. He was preceded in death by his father, Wylie Carson; grandmother, Ruth Hardy; sister, Lisa Carson; uncle, Les Hardy; cousins, Phillip Sadler, Lois Janelle Daniels, and Nina Diane Nuckles. He is survived by his daughter, Hon Carson; sons, Christopher Carson, and Ronald Carson, Jr.; mother and stepfather, Teresa and Carl Johnson; grandchildren, Prince Carson, Hailoh Carson, Malekhi Ronald Carson, Alana Threlkeld, and Cheryl Flemming; sisters, Mallory Johnson, Abigail Fellove, Melenie Williams, Deidre (Greg) Stephens, Carol (Otis) Brown, and Romona Long; brothers, Tim Brown, Michael (Alicia) Carson, Clarke Shaw, and Scott Strickland; aunts, Wanda (Tony) Reid, Lillie Ruth Sadler, Linda Williams, Vivian (David) Redic, Anita Casey, Lisa Casey, Shirley Carson, and Brenda Carson; uncles, Christopher Anderson, Dennis Casey, Harold Casey; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; and family friends, Alex Thompson and Keith Haywood. Mr. Carson was born April 29, 1966 in Buford, GA. He was a 1985 graduate of Buford High School where he played football. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines. He was the owner of Kar Krazy Automobile Dealership in Buford. Mr. Carson did a “Free Car” giveaway to single mothers every other Saturday as a charitable gift. He also sponsored youth sports in Buford. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Union Baptist Church. The remains will lie in state at the church at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Buford. A Wake will be held on Friday evening, March 30, 2018 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
