David William Armour

Obituary Date: Sunday, April 15, 2018

David William Armour went to his Heavenly Home on April 15, 2018.

 David was born in Hall County on May 8, 1937. He was a son of the late Taft and Leler Bell Armour. He was a lifetime logger. He loved the Lord, his family and friends, hunting, fishing, NASCAR, showing off his garden, gospel music, raising and killing hogs, and cooking with lard. His best times were spent with his children, grand children, and new great grand babies.


He was preceded in death by his son, Donald Armour; brothers, Jerry Armour and Moses Armour.

Surviving are his daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy & Tony Norton, Penny Armour, Tammy & Tommy Blackstock; grandchildren and spouses, Ryan & Jocelyn Norton, Kodi & Orry Mitchell, Kelli & Blake Duck; great grandchildren, Cullen Mitchell and Briley Duck; brothers, Daniel Armour, Rev. Jacob Armour, Joseph Armour; sisters, Rachel Almand, Mary M. Oliver, Ann Magness; many nieces and nephews; mother of his children, Annie Sue Armor; special friend, Mary Gunn.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Lula Assembly of Praise with Rev. Danny Oliver officiating. Interment will follow at Living Mission United Methodist Church cemetery with Rev. Jacob Armour officiating.

  The family will receive friends from 3-7 pm, Tuesday April 17, 2018 at the funeral home.
