Ralph Elroy Hadden

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. Ralph Elroy Hadden, age 84, of Pendergrass, Georgia, who passed away on Friday, April 20, 2018. Mr. Hadden was born in Richmond County, Georgia, a son to the late Robert Lum Hadden and the late Daisy Dorothy Maddox Hadden. Mr. Hadden was retired from the Atlanta Journal and Constitution, where he was a Photo Engraver. Mr. Hadden was a member and trustee at Pond Fork Baptist Church and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in the Korean War. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hadden was preceded in death by his first wife, Caroline Joyce Hadden and his infant daughter, Rhonda Lori Hadden.

Survivors include his wife, Jean Benefield Hadden of Pendergrass, daughters, Cindy Buckner and her husband John of Conyers, Tina Hadden of Conyers, step-son, David Tanner of Commerce; grandchildren, Johnathan (Christi) Buckner, Lori (Jeff) Hopkins, Mark Buckner, Cristy (Shaun) Cashwell, Michael (Nicole) Buckner, Jennifer (Miguel) DeLacruz, Kathryn Tanner and 7 Great Grandchildren also survive.

The Funeral Service will be held in Monday, April 23, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Pastor Johnny Knight officiating. The burial will follow in the Lilburn Memorial Gardens at 2:00 PM with his family serving as pallbearers.

The visitation will be held on Sunday, April 22, 2018 from 1:00 - 9:00 PM at Evans Funeral Home.
