William Ray (Bill) Lewis, Sr.

William Ray “Bill” Lewis, Sr., age 64 of Hoschton, GA, died Monday, April 23, 2018 after an extended illness.

A graveside service will be held Friday, April 27, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday, April 27, 2018 from 12-2 PM at the funeral home. Flowers are accepted, or contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Bill.  

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Evie Joyce Adair Lewis and William Franklin Lewis; son, Billy Lewis, Jr.; sister, Peggy Lewis.

He is survived by his wife, Becky Lewis, Hoschton; daughter, Katie Lewis, Hoschton; grandchildren, Alexis Lewis and Caleb Baker; brother, David Lewis and wife Elish, Orlando, FL; sister, Kathy Lewis and partner Gary, Marietta; brothers in-law and sisters in-law, Mike and Becky Wilson, Monroe, Cindy and Freddy Johnston, Acworth, Mark and Christa Wilson, Hoschton; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Bill was born in Topeka, Kansas but lived the majority of his life in the metro Atlanta area. He was a retired police officer, serving as Chief with the City of Auburn Police Department.
