Bobby Louis Massey

Bobby Louis Massey, age 84, of Gainesville, Georgia formerly of Cornelia, Georgia passed away on Thursday, April 26, 2018

Mr. Massey was born on November 14, 1933 in Commerce, Georgia to the late Cody and Louise Gailey Massey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his  infant daughter, Jan Marie Massey. Mr. Massey was a member of First Baptist Church of Cornelia, where he was a deacon and member of the Fellowship Sunday School Class. He was a United States Army Veteran, and a retired salesman with Blue Circle Concrete Products, formerly Milam Concrete Products with 30 years of service.

Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years, Jeri Turner Massey, of Gainesville; daughters and sons-in-law, Chris and Chuck Adams, of Alpharetta; Sandy and Tony Pheifer, of Waterford, WI; brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Sara Massey, of Cornelia; four grandchildren, Chase Adams and Anna, Cayla Adams Comer and Brandon, Frank Pheifer, Nick Pheifer; three great-grandchildren; Anderson Adams, Davis Adams, and Charli Grace Comer.

Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, April 29, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Cornelia with Rev. David Turner and Dr. Eric Spivey officiating. Interment will follow in Level Grove Cemetery with military honors by United States Army, Grant Reeves VFW Post 7720, American Legion #84, and Rabun DAV #15.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., Sunday, April 29, 2018 at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel.
