Betty Morrison Taylor, age 81 of Clarkesville, passed away on Friday, May 4, 2018.

Born in Clarkesville, Georgia on July 3, 1936 to the late Henry and Ora Etta Barron Morrison. Mrs. Taylor was a retired supervisor with GMAC Finance. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. Mrs. Taylor enjoyed traveling, shopping, collecting t-shirts and antiques.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Clarence “Cobb” Williams; second husband, Gaines M. Taylor; brothers and sisters-in-law, Mercer & Helen Morrison, Hoyt & Callie Morrison, Joe Morrison, Malcolm & Mary Morrison, Arthur Morrison; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sally & Weldon English, Mae & Claud Wall, Ruth & Earl Bowen; brother-in-law, Les Williams.

Surviving are sister, Edith Williams of Gainesville; special nieces and nephews, Wanda & Wayne Thompson of Cornelia and Brenda & Sammy Franklin of Mt. Airy; sister-in-law, Allene Morrison of Flowery Branch; numerous other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services are scheduled for 3 pm, Monday, May 7, 2018 in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart with Rev. Raymond Payne and Rev. Ronnie Powell officiating. Interment will follow in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1 pm until the service hour on Monday at the funeral home.
