Tanja Lakisha Phelps Brownlee

Tanja Lakisha Phelps Brownlee, age 35, of Buford, GA passed away on Thursday, May 31, 2018. She is survived by her husband, Randall Brownlee, Buford, GA; children, Isiah Brownlee, Buford, GA and Kyla Brownlee, Buford, GA; father, Eric Phelps, Alabama; mother, Yvonne Cruz and step-father, Alex Cruz, Indian Trail, NC; sister, Kali Cruz, Randlo, NC; grandmother, Lula Mae McFayden, Indian Trail, NC; grandmother, Ruth Ann Phelps, Fayetteville, NC; and other relatives and friends. Mrs. Brownlee was born March 19, 1983 in Fayetteville, NC. She was a 1996 graduate of Brookwood High School. Tanja was a loving mom, wife, sister, daughter, and daughter in law. She was a home maker and worked part time. Tanja went back to school and obtained her certification as a medical assistant. Despite her hectic schedule, she always made time to enjoy being at her son's baseball games and her daughter’s band recitals. Her children were the joy of her life. She was a true friend to many and will be greatly missed and forever loved.

John 14:1-3: “Do not let your hearts be troubled you believe in God, believe also in me. My father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so; would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you.  I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.”

“If roses grow in heaven. Lord please pick a bunch for me. Place them in Tanja's arms and tell her they're from me. Tell her I love her and miss her, and when she turns to smile, place a kiss upon her cheek and hold her for awhile. Because remembering her is easy, I do it every day. but there's an ache within my heart that will never go away.”

 Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Cary Pittman officiating.
