Joyce Lawrence Rankin

Joyce Lawrence Rankin, 84, of Oakwood passed away on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at 2:30pm at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA.

Born on April 25, 1934, Mrs. Rankin was a veteran of the U.S. Marines. She was employed with North Georgia Mountain Area Planning Commission for a number of years and retired from the Northeast Georgia Medical Center where she worked as a transcriptionist.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Rankin is preceded in death by her son, Mark Leonard Rankin.

Mrs. Rankin is survived by her son and daughter in law, Stephen and Kimberly Rankin of Winder; grandsons, Jonathon Snow, Kyle Rankin, Brandon Rankin; sisters, Beryl Gilkerson, Helen Iverson and a number of other relatives.
