Olivesue Thayer Wise

Mrs. Olivesue Thayer Wise age 84 of Lula, passed away on Monday, June 18, 2018 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, June 23, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Austin Kelley will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 23, 2018 from 12:00-2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Olivesue was born on April 16, 1934 in Capital Heights, Maryland to the late George Herbert Thayer and Elizabeth Noel Nicholson. She was a homemaker and was a member of Whitehall Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Joseph Lee Wise, son, George “Bud” Wise, son, Mark Andrew Springston, 3 brothers, 1 sister, and grand-daughter, Alicia Marie Dean.

Mrs. Wise is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Pam Thayer of Gainesville, Florida, daughter, Joyce Boully of Tampa, Florida, daughter, Margaret Skinner of Habersham, Ga, son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Katie Overton of Las Vegas, Nevada, daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Ronnie Anderson of Gainesville, Ga, daughter, Joann Wise of Habersham, Ga, son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Terry Wise of St. Augustine, Florida, daughter, Rebecca Springston of Colorado, son, Okey Springston of Banks County, Ga, daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Keenan Highfield of Lula, Ga, multiple grandchildren, great- grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
