Charles Anthony Hughes

Charles Anthony Hughes, 72, of Gainesville passed away on Monday, July 9, 2018 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Inurnment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.

Born on March 20, 1946 in Gainesville, GA he was the son of the late Claud and Dorothy Hughes. He was an associate in Contractor Sales at Lowe’s. He was a wonderful musician playing trumpet and keyboard for Riverstreet, East River Drive, American Patrol, and Pieces of Eight.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Hughes is preceded in death by his brother, Dennis Hughes, sisters, Jerry House and Ann Watson.

Mr. Hughes is survived by his daughter, Kathryn Hughes of Gainesville; wife, Jo Ellen Hughes of Gainesville; nephews, Ronald House (Joy), Donald House (Sabrina), Tim House (Patty), Gary House (Cindy), niece, Laura Foster (Dr. Robby); nephew, Jason Watson (Jennifer) and other friends and family.
