Mrs. Shirley King Thompson, age 74 of Long Road, Toccoa, GA, passed away, Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at the Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center.
A daughter of the late Harold F. and Troy English King, she was born November 13, 1943 in Brownwood, Texas having lived most of her life in Stephens County. She was employed with Aeroquip and the Stephens County School System for a number of years and later retired from Walmart. Shirley was a member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her family and loved life abundantly. She was preceded in death by sisters, Iris Holbrooks and Kathy Franklin.
Survivors include two daughters, Tommie Ann Jewell of Eastanollee, GA, and Lisa Brown and her husband Craig of Demorest, GA, two grandchildren, Sarah Beth Monti and her husband Chris, and Beth Jewell, two great-grandchildren, Jayden Monti and Mia Grace Monti, sister, Vicky King of Toccoa, GA.
Funeral service will be 2 PM, Sunday, July 22, 2018 at the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree- Davis Funeral Home with the Reverend Craig Brown, the Reverend Jerrell Beatty and Mr. Chad Mance officiating.

Interment will be in the Liberty Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of arrangements for Mrs. Shirley Thompson.
