Mary Lou Lewis Glore

Mary Lou Lewis Glore, age 77, of Mt. Airy, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, July 22, 2018.

Mrs. Glore was born on June 22, 1941, in Maysville, Georgia; a daughter of the late Sharp and Stella Wilbanks Lewis. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Frank Glore; son, Michael Stancil; and brothers: Regis, Telvia, and Jack Lewis. Mrs. Glore was an employee of Clarkesville Mill with 24 years of service. She was also a transit driver for Habersham County for 4 years and a dorm parent for North Georgia Technical College for 3 years. Mrs. Glore was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Gina and Herbert Owen, Jr. of Baldwin; sisters, Henrietta Dorsey of Maysville and Penny Jordan of Flowery Branch; brothers, Robert Lewis and Jerry Lewis, both of Commerce; grandchildren, Brandi Wilbanks and Brian Owen, both of Baldwin; and great-grandchildren: Owen, Emory, and Kate Wilbanks.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 am on Tuesday, July 24, 2018, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia, with Rev. Jerrell Beatty officiating. Interment will follow in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Monday, July 23, 2018, at the funeral home.
