David Stanley Moore

David Stanley Moore, 83, of Oakwood passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 27, 2018   in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home.  Rev. Joe Vernon and Rev. Phil Carpenter will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday July 26, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Born on February 4, 1935, he was the son of the late Travis and Rose Moore. Mr. Moore was retired from Hall County where he was a supervisor in the Public Works Department. He was a member of Flat Creek Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Moore is preceded in death by his brother and sister in law, Phillip and Louise Moore and sister, Gwen Moore.

Mr. Moore is survived by his wife of 60 years, Maxine Graham Moore of Oakwood; son, David Kendall (Pete) Moore of Oakwood; granddaughter, Amy McGinnis of Gainesville; niece and husband, Phyllis Suppes (Richard) of Gainesville; 2 great grandsons and a number of other family and friends.
