Mr. James Alvin Beasley, 79 of Gainesville passed away Sunday August 12, 2018 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
A lifelong resident of Hall County, Mr. Beasley was retired from Estes Express. He was a graduate of North Hall High School and was a member of Dewberry Baptist Church #2.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Juanita Bennett Beasley, Gainesville; children, James Allen Beasley (Pam), Clermont; John Timothy Beasley (Renee), Robertsdale, Alabama; and Matthew Lynn Cain, College Park; grandchildren; Josh Beasley (Kate), Ryan Beasley (Tiffany), Jeremy Cape, Brandon Cape, Carson Beasley, Alyssa Cain; great grandchildren, Caley, Lane, Lena, Bella and Hux. Special cousin, Linda Bowden and aunt, Becky Hulsey, both of Pinehurst, Ga.; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; Dan and Sabra Freeman, Cumming; Gene and Thelma Thomas, Ellijay; Milford and Betty Bennett, Cumming; Hugh Douglas and Linda Bennett, Gainesville; Reta Thomason, Ellijay.
Mr. Beasley is preceded in death by his mother, Myrtle Beasley.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday August 15, 2018 in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home. Rev. Mickey Wheeler and Rev. Darin Cain will officiate. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday August 14 from 4-8 p.m. and again Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
Flowers will be accepted, but those desiring may make memorial contributions to Hospice of Northeast Georgia or the American Cancer Society in memory of Mr. Beasley.
