Charles C. Chuck King

Charles C. “Chuck” King, age 57, of Hoschton, GA passed away Thursday, September 13, 2018. He was preceded in death by father, Rayford E. King; mother, Helen Jane Mehard; and brother, Matthew Mehard.
Mr. King is survived by his wife of thirty-five years, Sandra “Sandi” Graham King, Hoschton; son, Jonathan (Katie) King, Hoschton; grandchildren, Calder King and Colton King; sisters, Elizabeth Baker, Corona, CA, Samantha (Roy) Bennett, Monroe, GA; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Edwin and Becky Graham, Canton, GA; sisters-in-law, Judy (Keith) Hawkins and their daughter Rebecca, Canton, GA, Kathy (Ron) McClendon, White, GA; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Chuck King was born on March 24, 1961 in Japan. He was a 1980 graduate of Central Gwinnett High School in Lawrenceville, GA, and he attended Gwinnett Technical College. Mr. King was employed with Jackson Electric Membership as a superintendent. He had thirty-eight years of service in the Lawrenceville district. 

The employees and staff of Jackson Electric Membership were like family to him. Mr. King was a member of Ivy Creek Baptist Church in Buford, GA. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Monday, September 17, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Ivy Creek Baptist Church, 2500 Ivy Creek Rd, Buford, GA 30519 with Dr. Craig Dale, Rev. Marty Jacobs, and Rev. Ted Williams officiating. All staff and employees of Jackson EMC will serve as an honorary escort. The family will receive friends on Monday, September 17 from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Ivy Creek Baptist Church, and then again after the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in memory of Chuck King.
