Sandra Hendrickson Hall was born on October 23, 1943, in Chicago, IL. She was the youngest child of Charles V. Hendrickson Sr. and Sargie Green Hendrickson. Sandra graduated from Skammon Elementary and was a graduate in the 100th graduating class of Schurz High School in Chicago. She attended Bradley University in Peoria, IL, and earned her Bachelors of Education degree. She went on to earn a Masters of Education degree from the University of Georgia in Athens, GA. She taught elementary school in Chicago, Reading at Gainesville High School and Social Studies and Reading at Gainesville Middle School in Gainesville GA. Her teaching career spanned over twenty years. She was beloved by her students and respected by her colleagues.
Sandra loved to travel, especially cruises. Her love of travel began when she took a tour of Europe after earning her undergraduate degree. It continued throughout the rest of her life as she was able to travel again to Europe as well as Alaska, Canada, Central America and the Caribbean and many parts of the U.S. She was an avid gardener, cook and she loved to read mystery stories and always strived to learn and broaden her horizons throughout her life. She was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church for 39 years serving on the Session as well as the Women of the Church as their moderator. She was married to Robert "Buddy" Hall for over 49 years. Sandra loved being a grandmother, mother and wife. She was a member of the North GA Writers Club and had her worked published in two of their anthologies. She always encouraged people to do their best and to be proud of their results.
Sandra is survived by her husband, Robert "Buddy" Hall; Daughter, Sybil Hall-Beheler, Son-In-Law-Tony Beheler; grandson, Joshua Beheler; Brother and Sister in law, Charles V. Hendrickson Jr & Barbara Hendrickson, Nieces, Audrey and Diane Hendrikson and a number of cousins and wonderful friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with Rev. Heather Koontz officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and again from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
