Etta Onida Horne, age 82, of Hull passed away Sept. 18, 2018 at the Kindred Hospice of Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Horne was born December 26, 1935 in Shiloh, Georgia to the late Buck & Ellie Mae Carithers Beard. She was retired from West clock (General Time) and was a homemaker. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Horne and a son, Donald Horne.
Survivors include, son & daughter in law, Danny & Pam Horne of Statham sisters, Gaither Kerr of Hartwell & Grace Carey of North Carolina, brothers, Mitchell Beard of Stone Mountain & Wendell Beard of Shiloh, 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and a number of nieces & nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Thursday at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Douglas Duncan officiating. Burial will follow in Danielsville Evangelical Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. Thursday at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
