Frances Elizabeth Hanson Mosher, age 97, of 1012 Enota Avenue, Gainesville, formerly of Chicago, passed away Monday October 1, 2018, at The Ashton of natural causes.
A memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, October 13, 2018, in the chapel of Gainesville First United Methodist Church. A reception will follow immediately after the service.
Mrs. Mosher was born in Chicago to the late Johan Birger Hansson and Laura Emelia Mariana Elizabeth Sjostrand. She had lived in Hall County for the past 31 years. Frances worked as an executive secretary before her move to Georgia. She loved her ‘new’ home and filled her time with many activities, friends and volunteering including Bridge, Book Club, Bible Study, Lanier’s Women’s Club, church, Salvation Army and Meals on Wheels.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Arthur E. Mosher, her daughter, Claudia Dawson, her sister and brother in law, Lily and Richard Burg and grandson Trevor Boehm.
Survivors include daughter Leslie and Darnell Boehm, grandson Shannon Hoffman, granddaughters, Shannon Chesebro, Alison Boehm, and Brittany Boehm; great-grandsons, George, Henry, Teddy and Johnny Chesebro, Jaxson Hoffman and Oliver Nucerino; and great-granddaughters Coley Chesebro and Ava Rose Claudia Hoffman.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to either the Salvation Army, 681 Dorsey St, Gainesville, GA 30501 or to Community Health Foundation, 1005 Boulder Drive, Gray, GA 31032 (the foundation associated with Affinis Hospice).
