Martha Rose Morris, age 88 of Lula, GA passed away Sunday, Oct. 7, 2018.
She was born on Dec. 2, 1929 in Gillsville, GA, she was the daughter of the late Elbert Lee and Ruby Smith Sims. Mrs. Morris was the widow of W.S. Morris. She was a nurse and was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Morris Fowler.
Survivors include husband, Alton Argo of the residence; sons, Melvin Morris, Lula, Stanley Morris, Alto, Glen Morris, Alto; grandchildren raised in home, Steve T. Fowler and Michelle Leigh-Ann Fowler; 14 grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 3 pm Monday, Oct. 8, 2018 at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church with the Rev. Ralph O. Smith and Rev. James Duncan officiating. The body will lie in state from 2 pm until time of the service at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends 7-9 pm Sunday, Oct. 7, 2018 at the funeral home.
