John “J.C.” Jones

John “J.C.” Jones, age 85, of Cumming, GA, passed away on Tuesday, October 9, 2018. J.C. was born in Forsyth County in 1933, to the late Charlie and Sarah Jones. He was a member of Salem Baptist Church in Forsyth County. J. C. owned and operated J.C. Jones Grocery, Grading and Rental Properties. He started fire station #8 in Forsyth County. He had 21 siblings. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and great-great grandfather. J.C. will be missed dearly. In addition to his parents, his is preceded in death by his grandson, Samuel Jones.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mary McGehee Jones; children, Gary (Loretta) Jones and Diane (Lanny) Dunagan; 3 sisters; 5 brothers; 3 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; along with many other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. J. C. will be held Friday, October 12, 2018, at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Rev. Donnie Nix, Rev. Craig Richard and Copeland Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Sawnee View Memorial Garden. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Friday, from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service.
