Monica N. Thomas

Monica N. Thomas age 38 passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, GA. She was born March 10, 1980 in Atlanta, GA to Majorie Lee and Reverend James Thomas. She graduated from North Georgia State College in 2012 with a bachelors in criminal justice and worked as a Felony Probation Counselor. She worked with many organizations throughout the community; naming a few: The Fountain of Hope Ministry, W.O.W (Women of Worship) and New Hope Counseling. Monica was a devoted mother and helper/advocate. She enjoyed spicy food, meeting new people and taking adventures. She was a "Go to" when you needed help. She was a spiritual woman involved in a multitude of community projects. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and those she touched throughout her journey in life. She is survived by her parents Majorie Lee (Mother), Richard Lee (Step-father), Reverend James Thomas (Father); children Imani Robertson (Daughter), Jerrie Anderson (God Daughter), grandparents Emma Broughton (Grandmother), Reverend Emorris Thomas Sr. (Grandfather); Sibling Dante Shields and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends.
