Carole Shaw Gaines, age 74 of Oakwood, GA passed away Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2018.
Born on July 10, 1944 in Gulfport, MS, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth Newton and Alice Elizabeth Beard Shaw. She was a retired self-employed bookkeeper/secretary, and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her husband, Guy (Pug) Gaines of the residence; daughter, Michelle Lyon, TN; brother, Kenneth Maurice Shaw, MS; sister, Patsy Jean Gordon, MS; grandchild, Tasheena Bailey, TN; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 4 pm Friday, Dec. 7, 2018 at Ivie Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Billy Owensby officiating. Burial will follow in Jackson Memorial. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 3 pm until time of the service.
