Dorothy Joyce Marino Grose

Mrs. Dorothy Joyce Marino Grose, age 87 of Greenhill Place in Toccoa, Ga. passed away Friday, December 7, 2018 at her home.

A daughter of the late Michael James and Alma Brooks Marino, she was born March 18, 1931 in New York City, New York having lived the greater part of her life in Atlanta, Ga. and for the past four years in Toccoa. Mrs. Grose was an administrative assistant at Southern Railway where she retired after many years of service. She was of the Christian faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Grose, a brother, Johnny Marino, and by four sisters, Rose Federlein, Martha Letizia, Virginia Godfrey, and Georgeanne McGowan.

She is survived by a step-daughter, Susan Griffith of Virginia, sister, Betty Brown of Cartersville, Ga., a grandson, Abraham, a niece and nephew that served as caretakers , Lisa Garrison and Reverend Paul Garrison of Toccoa, and by several other nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 12, 2018, 1:00 p.m., at the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Paul Garrison officiating.

The family will receive friends Wednesday prior to the service at Acree-Davis from 11:30 a.m. until 12:45 p.m.
