Margie Nell Hicks

Mrs. Margie Nell Hicks, age 87 of Cleveland, passed away on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at Gateway Nursing Home in Cleveland, following an extended illness.   

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 22, 2018 from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm, prior to the service, at the funeral home. 

Mrs. Hicks was born April 2, 1931 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late Charlie Ward and Ida Mae Pitchford Ward.  She was a homemaker and of the Holiness Faith.  Margie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Don Hicks, her son, Douglas Hicks and 8 siblings.

Mrs. Hicks is survived by her children, Donald & Teresa Hicks of Gainesville, David Hicks of Dahlonega and Deborah & Ricky Hyde of Gainesville, 7 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
