John D. Pirkle

John D. Pirkle, age 77, of Buford, GA passed away Saturday, December 22, 2018. Mr. Pirkle was preceded in death by his parents, Hoyt and Dorothy Allen Pirkle; uncles, Milford Allen and, L. C. Allen; aunts, Gladys Kimbro, and Lois Pirkle Wallace. He is survived by his brother, Jack and Pat Pirkle of Gainesville, GA; sister, Joan and Kirk Seaton of Shelbyville, TN; aunt, Ruth Allen Brown of Lawrenceville, GA; uncle, Leon Kimbro of Buford, GA; caregiver, Corey Brown, and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins. Mr. Pirkle was born July 9, 1941 in Dacula, GA and grew up in the Hog Mountain Community. “John was disabled all his life, but he touched a lot of folks. His life was an inspiration to many and he was loved by all.” He was a member of Hebron Baptist Church, Dacula, GA. Funeral services will be held, Thursday, December 27, 2018 at 3:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Brown and Rev. Boyd Langley officiating. Interment will follow at Hog Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery, Dacula, GA. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Douglas Brown, Larry Maddox, Brandon Dudley, Kevin Dudley, Gary Challoff, Shawn Pirkle, and honorary pallbearer, Mr. Holland “T’Model” Maddox.
