L. D. Franklin Lemley

L. D. Franklin Lemley, 78 of Gainesville passed away Saturday, December 22, 2018 at his residence.

He was born in Lumpkin County to the late Homer and Mamie Sullens Lemley.  L.D. served in the United States Army and was retired as a boiler technician from New Holland Mill. 

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Melba Lemley; children, Brenda (Dwayne) Williams, Ronald (Marcie) Lemley, and Kenneth Lemley; grandchildren, Brittany, Justin, Katelyn, Kyle, Dara, and McKenna.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 28, 2018 in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home.  Rev. J. T. Turpin will officiate.  Interment will follow in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, December 27, 2018.
