Byron Doussa Jones

Mr. Byron Doussa Jones, age 56, of Gillsville, Ga passed away on Wednesday December 26, 2018 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday December 29, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Nathaniel Montgomery will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday December 29, 2018 from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Byron was born on February 16, 1962 in Fada, Burkina Faso (Africa) to Boureina Doussa and Fati Thiombiano Doussa. He worked at Gainesville Middle School as a Math Teacher and was of the Baptist Faith. He is preceded in death by his father.

Byron is survived by his wife, Ramatou Doussa of Gillsville, son, Michael Doussa of Gillsville, daughter, Angela Doussa of Gillsville, daughter, Alyn Doussa Jones of Gillsville, sister and brother-in-law, Alimatou Moore and Cornelius Moore of Atlanta, sister, Salimata Couldiati and mother, Fati Doussa both of Burkina Faso,and a number of nieces and nephews.

Memorial Park Funeral Home, 2030 Memorial Park Road, Gainesville, GA  30504 is in charge of arrangements.
