Toi Mae Singletary

Mr. Toi Mae Singletary age 89 of Shady Lane, Toccoa passed away Thursday January 3, 2019 at his residence.

A son of the late Joseph and Mattie Lewis Singletary, he was born May 6, 1929 in Bonifay, Florida having lived most of his life in Toccoa. He was a veteran of the United States Army and attended the Salvation Army Church. He was employed as a furniture manufacturer for a number of years. He was preceded in death by a son Michael Singletary.

Survivors include his wife of the home Glenda Marr Singletary, three daughters and son in law Teresa and Al Newsome of Atlanta, Debrah Singletary of Toccoa and Rebecca Singletary of Clayton, Georgia, son and daughter-in-law Dwayne and Tammy Singletary of Toccoa and twelve grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 P.M. at the Hillcrest Chapel of Acree-Davis Funeral Home with Captain Kim Gaines officiating. The family will be at the home on Shady Lane and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Saturday from 12 P.M. til service time.

The following grandsons will serve as pallbearers Jeremy Singletary, Algerome Newsome II, De’Jon Singletary, Nick Yearwood and Brandyn Newsome.

Interment will follow in Toccoa City Cemetery.
