Jean Head Wallace

Jean Head Wallace, 90, of Gainesville passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Griffin officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Born on October 16, 1928 in Cleveland, GA, she was the daughter of the late Claude and Magnola Ash Allen. She was a member of New Haven Church.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wallace is preceded in death by her infant son, Jere Alan Head; Jack Head, children’s father; Howard Wallace, husband of 15 years; sisters, Agnes Jackson, Claudine Lewis and brother, L.G. Allen.

Mrs. Wallace is survived by her daughters and sons in law, Jackie Pirkle of Clermont, Jeannie and Bill LaPointe of Gainesville, Terry and Bryan Bordelon of Cleveland, Shelia and Eddie McFalls of Clermont, Robin Diaz of Gainesville, Kim and Brent Lally of Cleveland; grandchildren, Billy Pirkle, Josh Davidson (Cassandra), Judd West, Christi Collins (Clete), Nichole Martin, Tabetha Martin, Jeremy Blalock (Danyell), Chris McFalls (Whitney), Colby McFalls, Sydney Allison; many great and great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to give a special thank you to the Doctors Chiulli, Egolum, Lahiri, Medepalli, Range, Parrish and Starke and the special nurses from the 5th floor that cared for mom during her illness.
