Mary Helen McGuire

Mrs. Mary Helen Murrow McGuire, of Gainesville, slipped peacefully into the arms of her Savior on January 16, 2019. Helen was born to the late Elmer & Vera Mae Murrow on September 4, 1927. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church where she spent time visiting shut-ins and the sick. She was also a volunteer at the Chattahoochee Baptist Association. Anyone who knew Helen knew that her family was her favorite part of the life that she lived. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim McGuire and brother, Marcus Murrow.

She was survived by her three children and other descendants:  Son, Harry & Peggy Conley and descendants: Chris & Allison Conley, Jason & Kelly Harrison, David & Holly Schultz, Cale Conley, Caleb Harrison, Seth Harrison, James Harrison, and Kenley Harrison. Daughter, Ann &  Bobby Murphy and descendants: Chuck & Sherry Twiggs, Scott & Missy Twiggs, Melody Murphy, Marissa Murphy, Brandy Kendall, Brandon Kendall, Justin Twiggs, Brittany Twiggs, Haley Twiggs, Heartley Twiggs, Alex Murphy, Isaiah Cavazos, Danny Aldalco, Elijah Cavazos, Jaden Kendall, Alyssa Kendall, Zoey Kendall, Payton Kendall, and Ava Olivia Kendall. Son, Larry Adams and descendants: Tim & Lisa McNeal, Tommy & Amy England, Chase Adams, Dusty McNeal, Bradon & Hannah McNeal, Lainey England, Luke England, and Maverick McNeal. Son, Johnny McGuire and descendants: Jacob & Kelsey McGuire, Reese McGuire, Faith McGuire, Gracie McGuire, and Fay Lynn McGuire.  Brother, Richard and Frances Murrow.  Special Friend, Sarah Adams. Special Friend and “Adopted Granny” Peggy Moran.  Many other special nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM & 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Friday, January 18, 2019. Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 19, 2019.  Interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
