Mary K. Stapleton

Mary K. Stapleton, age 84, of Buford, GA passed away Friday, January 18, 2019. She was preceded in death by her husband of twenty-one years, James A. Stapleton, Jr; parents, Charles W. and Lorena Sutton; sister, Alice Lavender; brothers, Alfred Sutton, Elijah Sutton, Richard Sutton; half-brothers, June Sutton and Raymond Sutton. Mrs. Stapleton is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Gloria and Harvey Rich, Ft. Worth, TX; son, Robert N. Stapleton, Buford, GA; three grandchildren, April N. Bryant,  Heather R. Futch, Ashleigh M. Stapleton; two great granddaughters, Skylar R. Bryant and Emily B. Bryant; brothers, Robert K. Sutton, Kingsport, TN, Everitt Samuel Sutton, Walton, IN, James E. Sutton, Logansport, IN, Jerry W. Sutton, Logansport, IN; and half-sister, Lois Sutton, Pennington Gap, VA. Mrs. Stapleton was born in Pennington Gap, Virginia. She was a homemaker and she attended Buford Church of God.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Chaplain Jonathan Spencer officiating. Interment will follow at North Atlanta Memorial Park in Doraville, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 22 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
