Harley “Grady” Stewart

Mr. Harley “Grady” Stewart, age 93 of Gainesville, passed away on Thursday Evening, January 24, 2019 at Autumn Breeze Senior Living following an extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, January 28, 2019 at 12:30 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.  Reverend Drewery Loggins will officiate.  The family will receive friends on Monday, January 28, 2019 from 10:30 am – 12:30 pm, prior to the service, at the funeral home.          

Mr. Stewart was born August 20, 1925 in Cartersville, Georgia to the late Lonnie Stewart and Maude Childers Stewart.  He served in the U. S. Navy on the USS Saratoga from 1943 – 1946 and was retired from Flowers Industry as a Route Salesman.  Grady was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 66 years, Sarah Ann Hightower Stewart, his son, Keith Stewart, his 6 brothers and his 2 sisters.

Mr. Stewart is survived by his children, Gary & Karen Stewart of Lula, Michael & Jackie Stewart of Oakwood and Jeff & Kellie Stewart of Flowery Branch, his grandchildren, Shane & Summer Stewart, Rusty & Kristie Stewart, Lindy & Josh Woodruff, Cason Stewart, Jantzen Stewart, Adelaide Stewart and Sawyer Stewart, his great-grandchildren, Blake Stewart, Emma Stewart, Seth Stewart, Ellie Stewart, B. J. Woodruff, Cady Woodruff and Charlie Woodruff, and a number of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
