Jerald A. "Jerry" Martasin

Jerald A. Martasin, 56, son of Donna Martasin-Kendall and the late Edwin S. Martasin, passed away February 3, 2019.

Jerald (Jerry) is survived by his wife, Margarita, and son, Edwin A. (Eddie) Martasin of Suwanee, Ga. and brother, Ken Martasin of Alpharetta, Ga.. He also leaves behind one niece, Meghan Martasin Green of Fairfax, VA.

Jerry was born in Kansas City, MO, on February 7, 1962. He and his family moved to Atlanta in 1967 and he has resided there ever since.

He spent his formative years in Cobb County where he made friends that are still his friends to this very day. He then attended Kennesaw State College majoring in Finance and Economics ( cum laude).

Jerry started his financial planning career at Waddell & Reed and then with Dean Witter, until the crash of 1987. He then moved into the Residential Mortgage business.

Jerry married his wife, Margarita, on March 20, 2002. Their son, Eddie, arrived February 11, 2003.

Those that were close to Jerry will tell you that he always had a smile on his face and never spoke an unkind word to anyone. He was dedicated to his work and was a loyal husband and friend to the end. Jerry’s passions in life were motorcycles and speed. He had no fear of either……………

His Celebration of Life will be at the McDonald Family Funeral Home, 150 Sawnee Drive, Cumming, GA 30040 on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at 11 a.m. Visitation with the family will begin at 10 a.m.
