Leroy Simmons

Mr. Leroy Simmons, age 80, of Carrollton passed away Friday, February 22, 2019 at Tanner Medical Center, surrounded by his family.

Graveside Services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at Memorial Park South Cemetery.  The family will receive friends 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Monday, February 25, 2019 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home. 

Mr. Simmons was born January 13, 1939 to the late Sylvia Clarence & Lois Jones Simmons in Cobb County.  He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehoviah Witness in Carrollton and owner of Simmons Paint & Service.

Mr. Simmons is survived by his wife of 56 years, Carolyn Simmons of Carrollton; sons, Paul Simmons and Tony Simmons both of Carrollton; brother, Johnny Simmons of Mt. Zion, Georgia; sister, Sarah Terrell of Madison; sisters & brothers-in-law, Pauline & Merle Bryson of Cumming, Gladys & Randy Jiles of Rome and Dorothy & Brian Ledford of Madison; grandchildren, Madison Simmons, Caitlin Simmons, Matthew Simmons and Catherine Simmons; great-grandchild, Chandler Simmons; and several nieces & nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ralph Simmons, Sylvia Simmons and Robert Paul Simmons; and sisters, Gaynell Parker and Juanita Brannan.
