Roy Guyton

Roy Guyton, 79, of Gainesville passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 29, 2019 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. The Rev. Clint Fair will officiate the service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, March 29, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Born on July 28, 1939 in Gainesville he was the son of the late Carl and Lunette Guyton. Mr. Guyton was a mason for over 50 years. He was a member of Community Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Guyton is preceded in death by his wife, Frances Strait Guyton and sister, Louise Sosebee.

Mr. Guyton is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Joel Benefield of Gainesville; daughter, Kelly Guyton of Gainesville; granddaughter, Amber Holton of Gainesville; grandson, Jonathan Holton of Jackson County, grandson, Daniel Head of Minnesota; granddaughter, Destiny Schandera of Gillsville; 5 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; brothers Harold Guyton and Doyle Guyton both of Gainesville, sister, Christine Guyton Wehunt and numerous other relatives.
