Sharon Graham Bacek

Sharon Graham Bacek, 74, of Dahlonega, Georgia, passed away on April 2, 2019. Sharon Owned and Operated the Lily Creek Lodge Bed and Breakfast in Dahlonega, Georgia for over 20 years. She was active in her community, Co-Founding the Dahlonega Literary Festival, serving as Program Chair and past President of The Dahlonega Rotary Club, past Lumpkin County Tourism Chair, Board Member and Donor of The Holly Theater, Board member of The Dahlonega Arts Council, member of Women in Lumpkin Leadership and the La de Da’s. Sharon was preceded in death by her husband Donald Anthony Bacek and her sister Joanna Browning. She is survived by her children: Julia Magnani (Massimo Magnani), Deborah McElgin (William McElgin), Shannon Dollerschell (Tony Dollerschell); her grandchildren, Adler Graham Dollerschell, Alexa Michela Galadriel Magnani, Annaliese Rose Dollerschell, Sasha Elisabetta Tinuviel Magnani, Thomas Michael McElgin, and Katherine (Kate) Graham McElgin. A Celebration of Sharon’s Life will be conducted at The Dahlonega Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 9th  at 1:00 pm with visitation starting at 12:00 pm. Graveside service will follow at  the Antioch Baptist Cemetery on Auraria Road.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sharon’s name to the The Dahlonega Literary Coalition or the Dahlonega Rotary Club.

 Family will receive friends on Monday from 6pm until 8pm and Tuesday from 12pm until 1pm. Funeral service will follow at 1pm Tuesday in the chapel of Dahlonega Funeral Home. Interment will take place at Antioch Church Cemetery.
