Alice Marjorie “Margie” Wolfrey Hunt

Alice Marjorie “Margie” Wolfrey Hunt, age 84 of Carnesville, Georgia went home to be with her Lord & Savior on Friday, April 05, 2019.

Born in Louisa County, Virginia on February 24, 1935, she was a daughter of ten children to the late Elmer Burse & Susie Emma Seay Wolfrey. Margie was a long standing member of Nails Creek Baptist Church. She loved her church family, friends, and enjoyed serving them. Margie was a woman after God’s heart who passed along her faith in God to all her children and grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by everyone.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William Dalton Hunt, Sr. in 2005, grandson, Matthew Hunt; daughter-in-law, Daphne Hunt; brothers, Bobby Wolfrey, Kenneth Wolfrey, Lester Wolfrey, Elmer B. “Junior” Wolfrey, Henry Wolfrey; and a sister, Lucille Wolfrey Hoffman.

Survivors include her sons & daughters-in-law, William Dalton, “W.D.” Jr., & Jenni Hunt, Joseph “Joe” & Diana Hunt all of Alto, GA; Robert Hunt of Carnesville, GA; grandchildren, Shane & Kelly Hunt, Brandon Hunt, April Hunt Camarillo & Juan Camarillo, Carla Rich, Samantha Rich, Jennifer Leigh Rich; 15 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren; sisters & brother-in-law, Betty Wolfrey Hunt, Carolyn Wolfrey & Bennie Heath; brother & sister-in-law, Roger & Laura Wolfrey.

Margie is also survived by her extended family and friends whom she loved as her own, Louise Keesler, Debbie & Chuck Vickery & their children, her pastor/friend & his wife, Rev. Mr. & Mrs. Duane Eller & their children.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at Nails Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Duane Eller officiating. Interment will follow in Nails Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
