Susie Ann Self

 Mrs. Susie Ann Self, age 70, of Dahlonega passed away Thursday, April 11, 2019.

Mrs. Self was born in Cullman, AL on July 27, 1948.  She was preceded in death by her husband Charlie Self, father Carmen Cupp, granddaughter Emily Gibson, brothers Milton Cupp, Robert Cupp, Wayne Cupp, and Fred Cupp, brother and sister-in-law Alvin and Faye Self, and nephew James Armstrong.  Mrs. Self was a member of The Torch-Dahlonega Church of God.  She was a loving mother and grandmother who adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  They affectionately called her “Memaw”.  Mrs. Self loved working in her flower garden when she was able to.  She loved her dog and best friend “Muffy”.

Survivors include her daughter Renee Hyatt, Dahlonega; son and daughter-in-law Everett and Wanda Self, Dahlonega; grandchildren Daniel Self, Melissa and Jonathan Brady, Dustin and Diadra Rice, Celia Rice, and CJ Rice; great-grandchildren Kaylen Rice, Brelynn Rice, Peyton Rice, Reighlan Brady, and Kasen Adams; sister Shirley Priest, MI; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Saturday, April 13, 2019 at the chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home.  The Rev. David Masters will officiate.  Interment will follow in Dahlonega Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Saturday from 10:00 AM until the funeral hour at the funeral home.
