Charlie Evans

Mr. Charlie Evans age 88 of Gainesville passed away on Friday May 31, 2019 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

          Funeral services are scheduled for Monday June 03, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Danny Evans and Reverend Brandon Elliott will officiate. The family will receive friends on Sunday June 02, 2019 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

          Charlie was born on November 06, 1930 in Homer, Georgia to the late William Evans and Daisy Epperson Evans. He was retired from Chicopee Mill where he worked as a card room operator and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Kathleen Evans Roberts.

          Mr. Evans is survived by his wife, Hazel Evans of Gainesville, daughter, Angela Lock of Gainesville, son, Alvin Evans of Gainesville, grand-sons, Bobby Lock, Jr., Steven Lock and Andrew Lock and his fiancé  (Karen Talley), nephew, Austin Robert of Jackson County, Ga and niece, Elizabeth Bruce of Gainesville.
