Dannielle J. Smith

Dr. Dannielle J. Smith, age 39, of Lawrenceville, GA passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2019. She was preceded in death by her father, David P. Smith. She is survived by her son, Thayer L. Williamson, Lawrenceville, GA; mother, Vanessa Williams, Milledgeville, GA; sisters, Tamesha Smith, D’Veda Ferrell, Decatur, GA; brother, Damon Smith, Indianapolis, IN; grandmother, Nellie Scott, Indianapolis, IN; two nieces; one nephew; and a host of friends. Dr. Smith was born January 9, 1980 in Gary, IN. She was a graduate of Lew Wallace High School in Gary, IN, a graduate of Indiana University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, and a 2005 graduate of Valparaiso University with a Master’s Degree; and was currently working on her PhD at Mercer of Atlanta. Dr. Smith was employed with Veteran’s Hospital in Decatur, GA as a therapist. She was an avid traveler. Dr. Smith was a member of New Mercies Christian Church in Lilburn, GA. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 9, 2019 at 12:00 noon in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Percy Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens in Buford, GA. The wake will be held on Sunday, June 9, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 noon.
