Mrs. Annie Pearl Sullens Payne, age 91, of Longleaf Drive in Hoschton, Georgia and a former longtime resident of Toccoa, passed away Saturday, June 8, 2019 at Waterford at Oakwood, Oakwood, Ga.
A daughter of the late Jesse Lee Sullens and Nancy Kinsor Sullens, she was born November 20, 1927 in Stephens County, Georgia where she lived for the greater part of her life. She was a bookkeeper at Payne's Alignment, which was her families business for many years. Mrs. Payne was a charter member of Toccoa Creek Baptist Church where she was Church Treasurer for a number of years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Clarence Payne and by a daughter, Mrs. June Payne Southern.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Tracy and Sarah Payne of Martin, Ga. and Steve and Pat Payne of Hoschton, Ga., five grandchildren, Kristen, Millie, Carley, Sandee, and Rick, three brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill J. and Lois Sullens of Alpharetta, Ga., Joe and Deeann Sullens and Dennis and Carol Sullens all of Fort Worth, Texas, and by a sister, Joyce English of Toccoa.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 11, 2019, 11:00 A.M. in the Hillcrest Chapel of The Acree-Davis Funeral Home with Reverend Nathan Lashoto and Mr. Dan Merck officiating.
The following gentlemen have been selected to serve as pallbearers, Steven Waters, Allen Duckett, Mitty Higginbotham, Rick Golub, Allen Higginbotham, and Curtis Waters. Pallbearers are to meet at the funeral home by 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.
The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at Acree-Davis Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday evening.
