Larry Knowels

Coach Larry Knowels, age 81, of Buford passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at Autumn Breeze Assisted Living, surrounded by his family.

The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Friday, June 21, 2019 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.

Mr. Knowles was born April 1, 1938 to the late Robert & Dorthy Knowels in Sharon, Pennsylvania.  He attended 12Stone in Flowery Branch and was a Basketball Coach for over 50 years, including West Hall High School.

Mr. Knowles is survived by wife, Jeanna Curtis Knowels; son, Tim Knowels; daughter, Dawn Hawkins; step-daughters, Sherry Karum & Leslie Karum; 8 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents and step-daughter, Kristie Karum.
