Lawrence F. “Larry” Iker

Lawrence F. “Larry” Iker, age 87, of Lawrenceville, GA, passed away Sunday, June 23, 2019.  He was preceded in death by his wife of sixty-two years, Marilyn Woodyard Iker.  He is survived by children, Vickie L. Gordon, Lawrenceville, GA, Sharon and Jerry Finlayson, Suwanee, GA, four grandchildren, Amy and Sean Brigham, Lindsay and Jason Sausville, Scottie Finlayson, Kara Finlayson; one great grandchild, Sarah Brigham.  Mr. Iker was born January 24, 1932 in Detroit, MI.  He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and serviced in the Korean War.  Mr. Iker was a retired pharmaceutical representative from Merck Pharmaceutical Company.  He was a member of Sugar Hill United Methodist Church and a member of Keenagers Senior Group and Senior Adult Sunday School class.  Mr. Iker was a long time former member of Redford Baptist Church in Detroit, MI.  He was quite talented in singing in glee club at Wayne State University and also church choirs.  Memorial service will be held at a later date.
