Myrtle Jane Little

Myrtle Jane Little, 75 of Gainesville passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Mrs. Little was the daughter of the late L. E. Barnes and Pauline Boatwright Barnes.  She worked for several years as an office manager for B & M Metals.   She was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. 

Mrs. Little was a very loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be missed by all.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Little was preceded in death by her brothers, James Barnes and Larry Barnes, and her sisters, Vera Stringer and Betty Jo Gaines.

Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Joe Little; her son, Chris Little; daughter, Celena Little Phillips; grandchildren, Cody Little, Caleb Little, Deakon Phillips, and Ayden Phillips; sisters, Kloma Holland and Jean Truelove. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday June 29, at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.  She will lie in state at the church from 1:30 to 2:00 p.m.  Rev. Doug Godfrey and Rev. Eric Timms will officiate.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, June 28 from 2:00-8:00 p.m.
