Ruth Acevedo

Ruth Acevedo, 58 of Gainesville passed away Sunday, June 30, 2019 at her residence following a brief illness.

The family will receive friends at the church on Monday July 1, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. The Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at Alpha Y Omega Church, Dawsonville Hwy. Rev. Jose Rodriguez will officiate. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

Born on February 12, 1961 in Cuidad Arce, El Salvador, she was the daughter of the late Salome Mejia and of Maria Teresa Serrano-Mejia. She was a minister at Alpha Y Omega Church.

Mrs. Acevedo is survived by her husband, Francisco Antonio Acevedo of Gainesville; daughter, Vilma L. Guerra of Gainesville; sons, Eric Acevedo of Austell, Franky Acevedo of Gainesville; sister Sarai Mejia of El Salvador.
