Virgle David Crain

Mr. Virgle David Crain age 76, of Gainesville, GA passed away Saturday, July 6, 2019 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Welborn officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, July 8, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Mr. Crain was a devoted family man that loved the Lord. His true joy was to be surrounded by his family and friends. He loved his church, Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Cornelia, GA where he was a longtime member and supporter, served as deacon, and served as a Sunday school teacher for many years.

Mr. Crain was born on June 7, 1943 in Gainesville, GA to the late V.D. and Hazel Free Crain.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Crain is preceded in death by his brother Cecil Crain.

Mr. Crain is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Bobbie Hulsey Crain; his daughters and sons in law, Andrea and Jason Buice and Lori and Russell Ledbetter and two special granddaughters, Olivia and Carly Buice; sister and brother in law, Rachel and David Stanley of Lilburn; a number of nieces and nephews; brothers in laws, Barry Hulsey and Stanley Hulsey of Gainesville and mother in law, Winnell Hulsey.

He worked many years for Milton’s Food Service where he met many wonderful people and made a host of lifelong friends.

He is now in the presence of his Lord and Savior. It’s not goodbye, but see you in a little while.
